Before starting the heart pump, it must first be filled with water to discharge the air in the pump housing. According to the working principle of the centrifugal pump, when the impeller rotates, the water is thrown to the outer edge of the impeller by centrifugal force, a vacuum is formed at the center of the impeller, and the water is sucked in, forming a continuous working process of the water pump. If the pump is not full of water when starting, but full of air, because the density of air is much less than the density of water, the centrifugal force generated by the air will be much less than the centrifugal force of the water when the impeller rotates at the same speed. This will gather in the center of the impeller, so that the center of the impeller can not form enough vacuum, hinder the suction of water, affect the formation of continuous working process of the pump. Therefore, before the centrifugal pump is started, it must first be filled with water to drain the air in the pump body to maintain the normal operation of the pump. The centrifugal pump must fill the water pump and the inlet pipe with water before starting, otherwise the water pump cannot work. After the centrifugal pump is started, no water is often caused by the fact that the air in the pump is not drained and the water is not filled. Before starting the pump, fill the water tank with water for sealing. After the water pump is started, the water pump enters the water from the vacuum box. Due to the drop of the water level of the water tank, a certain vacuum is formed in the water tank. The water in the water inlet will enter the water tank through the water inlet pipe under the action of atmospheric pressure, thus forming a water circulation and making the water pump start to operate normally. This water filling method has the following advantages: small hydraulic loss, high efficiency of the pumping station, low labor intensity of technicians, easy to start, and conducive to the realization of automatic control of the pump unit. There are two main water filling methods before starting: one is to fill water by assembling a bottom valve, which is a one-way valve and is installed at the inlet of the water inlet pipe. The disadvantage of this method is that the head loss of the bottom valve is large, which affects the device efficiency of the water pump. The other is to fill water without a bottom valve. The great advantage of this method is energy saving, which can save 10% ~ 15% compared with a pump station with a bottom valve.
